Mendi utilizes functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) neurofeedback, a scientifically validated technique that detects changes in the brain's local blood flow and oxygenation in response to neural activation. By processing high-fidelity fNIRS signals through proprietary algorithms, Mendi creates easily understandable and visually accessible local feedback signals.
The Mendi headband features fNIRS sensors placed over the forehead, measuring oxygenated blood flow to the prefrontal cortex (PFC).
